Getting your book out there…

It is important to get your ebook as much exposure online as possible.

This means having it available in as many formats as possible to cater for the many different reading platforms out there at the moment.

I will format your book so that it will be readily acceptable by the major players in EBook techology.

I will provide you with an completely formatted word document which is the preferred upload for most platforms. However if you require a different format just let me know.

My Formatting Service

Just let me know via the Get a Quote form where you want to publish your ebook and I will deliver it to you in that format.

Most of my clients have a direct publishing account with Amazon Kindle (.mobi) and then use Smashwords (.doc) to distribute the ebook to all the other main platforms (Barnes and Noble, Sony, Kobo, Apple Ebook Apps etc.) and also to the well established Smashwords platform itself.

I can work with all formats so if there is a specific format you require just let me know.

I work with English language books only.

Payment is preferably via Paypal but can also be by Bank Transfer (UK).

A 50% deposit will be required before work begins.

Please remember that formatting a book for publishing online is not the same as formatting it for print (for example there will be no pages numbers in digital format as readers can change the font size to suit and as a result the number of pages changes so page numbers are redundant in digital books.)

I will include a linked Table of Contents and appropriate ‘back to top’ bookmarks throughout the document for easy navigation in my standard fee.

Novels and straight narrative are the easiest to format, and they produce high quality ebooks for the reader. There may be a higher charge for non-fiction and images due to greater complexity.

Please be aware that formatting does not mean copy editing. Ebook formatters do not perform editing, copyediting or proofreading because it is not their responsibility. I will of course highlight any typos I see whilst carrying out formatting but it will be not a comprehensive proof reading check.

About Ciara

I have always loved books. From an early age I remember the sheer joy of finding a quiet corner with a book and being transported into a whole new world.

Looking back I think being the youngest in a pretty large Irish family (9 kids) made the escapism offered by books so attractive to me. That and learning about new ways, thoughts and ideas both of the characters and the authors. I was a sponge soaking up all the new information.

The passion has stayed with me over the years. Enjoying all genres of fiction and non-fiction.

I even tried my hand at writing a book once (many years ago)  – I think I got about 3 pages in when I realised it simply isn’t for me.

You see my brain sits in the analytical, mathematical and logical camp. It just doesn’t do creative thinking and words particularly well.

As a result I have the utmost admiration for authors who have the imagination to create ideas, the talent to put those ideas in words and the tenacity to see it to the end. I treat every work with the respect it deserves.

This is why I feel I am the author’s right hand girl. You do the creation and writing and I do the logical formatting and technical detail.
